Symington ‘Sai’ Smith is Vice President and Head of North America at NewLink, China’s largest energy asset technology company. Its NASDAQ subsidiary supports 42% of China’s public EV charging infrastructure.
Sai’s award-winning career began with roles at Ogilvy, the UK Cabinet Office, and Baker McKenzie. He advanced to leadership positions as a Wall Street executive in healthcare and became the youngest trustee in the New York Military Academy history.
An elected member of the National Committee on US-China Relations, Sai has spoken at Harvard and Tsinghua, been featured in Vogue and Voice of America, and published insights on global affairs. Recognized by Tatler as a “Leader of Tomorrow,” he is also an active investor and has received honors from the British government and various professional associations.
Trilingual, Sai was educated at Peking University, Tsinghua, King’s College London, and Yale, where he was an Irene Trowell-Harris Scholar.
