London: Symington elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine; Public Health
Symington has been elected to the Royal Society of Public Health for outstanding achievements in public health, including combatting the COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand; advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals 12 and 15 (Responsible Consumption and Production, Life on Land); and raising awareness about the links between factory farming and zoonotic viruses.
For the Royal Society of Medicine, he was elected for outstanding achievements in healthcare and the promotion of science and evidence-based medicine.
